Kaltash Wawa #4
Issue 4 has arrived…I couldn’t resist sharing it!
We’ve got lots of Christmas material this year in Chinuk Wawa!
[I published this in a rush this morning. I want to add credit to Alex Code for creating and sharing it!]

I don’t know what I was doing at the time, but where I wrote “tiki” I actually wrote “tili”. The “i” should be at the bottom as the k stroke goes down! There’ probably always going to be mistakes, but hopefully in the future I won’t make ones like that!

We all make odd slips like that in Chinook-Peipa sometimes. I sometimes mix up “N” and “M”. Today I was doodling famous people’s names, and in Chinook-Peipa wrote “TRONP” for that one guy who’s in the news a lot 🙂

I’m hoping to redraw the pipa (I’ve found similar mistakes throughout LeJeune’s “Chinnok Rudiments”) for my lexicon, possibly with a fountain pen to give the lines weight, ie. make them seem more hieroglyphic for the lexicon.

Btw, odd timestamping on the comments. Is WordPress using GMT as a default? This written just ‘tween Seattle & Everett at 10am.
Oh, I can’t wait for the border to reopen.
