Necessity made a tongue. A.I. made a song.

AI works okay for some Chinook Jargon material…I don’t fully endorse it 😒

When I’ve experimented with plugging Chinuk Wawa into AI to generate songs (because I believe songs are going to save a lot of languages), the pronunciation has been atrocious.

But the following old Pacific NW doggerel poem must have been relatively easy for AI to songify, because it’s got a mostly English-language frame.

This is from the mind of Alex Code, using some work I published here. Read his excellent site, Kaltash Wawa!

Whaddaya think? PS, here’s the reference for “necessity made a tongue“.

𛰅𛱁‌𛰃𛱂 𛰙𛱁𛱆‌𛰅𛱁 𛰃𛱄𛰙‌𛰃𛱄𛰙? qʰáta mayka tə́mtəm? kata maika tumtum?  Qu’en penses-tu?  What do you think?

And can you say it in Chinuk Wawa?
