1914: Silhouettes ‘n’ Jargon

How would you say ‘silhouette’ in CJ?I’m blogging about this mainly because of the neat visuals, and to help other researchers understand what’s going on if they find the odd phrase “Kopa Konaway” in a newspaper.

It’s just a familiar abbreviation of “Tyee Kopa Konaway” (‘chief of all’), the elected leader of Seattle’s post-frontier civic organization, the Tilikums (‘friends’) of Elttaes.
