Coming soon: Keizer peace poles, with Chinuk Wawa
Heads up — you’ll be seeing more Chinuk Wawa in public in Keizer, Oregon soon.

According to an article in the Keizer Times (click here to read it), the local Public Arts Commission and the City Council have given the go-ahead for installing “peace poles” in 4 public parks this summer.
Among the languages conveying the message, “May peace prevail on earth”, will be Chinuk Wawa.
The article reports that the Jargon message will be provided by a member of the Grand Ronde Tribes.
