Hey, Southeast (Alaska) folks: do you know the Boy Scouts song?

An older person in Ketchikan, Alaska sang what they called “the Boy Scouts song” over the phone to me in 2003, and I had no way to audio-record it.

I didn’t get the Chinook lyrics written down, either, in my excitement 😒

I’ve asked this before (on social media), but now I’ll put it here on my site:

Do any of you from Southeast know this song?

Or know someone who might?

It’s a rare treasure of Alaska folklore…

𛰅𛱁‌𛰃𛱂 𛰙𛱁𛱆‌𛰅𛱁 𛰃𛱄𛰙‌𛰃𛱄𛰙? qʰáta mayka tə́mtəm?
kata maika tumtum? Qu’en penses-tu?
What do you think?
And can you say it in Chinuk Wawa?
