I think we can add pípa-sàmən to the “general lower Columbia” (Central Dialect) lexicon
My 2023 post about “Bridge River paper salmon” is about the Northern Dialect.
So is my 2024 “Newspaper salmon, a PNW Indigenous English phrase (and a BC Chinook Jargon discovery)“.

Adding a lovely reference that strongly suggests Chinook Jargon pípa-sàmən in Central Dialect as well:
In Q’lti (Charles Cultee)’s “Kathlamet Texts”, the “Raccoon” story uses a word on page 142 translated as “paper salmon”.
Franz Boas footnotes this to explain as “salmon cut in very thin slices and dried”–
–as if it were not an English but a Jargon phrase.
