1911: Xmas muckamuck in Lillooet

Another quick treat of Chinuk Wawa with a holiday tie-in!

I found this in the research paper, “Mah-kook, Skookum, Tillicum: Chinook Jargon and the discursive construction of British Columbian identities”, by Stefan Dollinger and Alexandra Doherty. 


James Lickey of the Black Hill ranch came in today with a big load of turkeys which will help decorate the “festive boards of Christmas-tide” in the hotels and at several private families.
