FINED .- A “noble red man” was
arrested and brought before the Re-
corder on Wednesday, charged with
abusing his clutchman, a “dusky maiden
of the forest.” As he had but $5 about
his clothes, he was fined that amount,
which he potlatched, and “hiac clatta-
wad for the forest dim.”
