Kamloops Wawa pictures: Part 2, “North Bend group”
In Kamloops Wawa #132 (September 1895), we’ve seen a great photo of some Spáhomin (Douglas Lake), BC people…Page 34 is the other picture in this issue.
There’s no further information given about the people in this picture.
But North Bend, BC is another little town where we know large numbers of people spoke and wrote Chinuk Wawa.
We have some of their own words preserved in the “Chinuk Pipa” writing.
