It’s interesting that LeJeune decided on Herod Antipas as king rather than Herod the Great – normally Herod the great is associated with Christ, but we know he died in 4BC. We now believe that Jesus was also born around 4BC, but perhaps for a while the date of Herod was understood correctly, but the date for Jesus had not been also changed?
Out of my depth there, but maybe it’s got to do with Catholic dogma rather than any choice by Le Jeune?
