Strange but true, we find various connections between Hawai’i and Chinuk Wawa!
Today’s tally: one newly discovered Chinuk Wawa song (but canceled out by its being lost to us), plus possibly more evidence that the naughty “Seattle Illahee” was PNW-famous!
I’ve long pondered, why do fluent Chinuk Wawa speakers often leave out the preposition, kʰapa/kopa?
