Ironic much? “Aboriginal lapel pin: CHEECHAKO”
Made me laugh when I found this one.
It’s for sale on ebay: an “aboriginal lapel pin — Chinook Jargon CHEECHAKO”!
Need I explain? Cheechako = chxi-chaku = ‘just came here recently’ = definitely a word for non-Indigenous people.
And, isn’t that the logo of a cruise-ship line? Not a tribe.
Even more ironic and/or hilarious is the seller’s additional try at a description:
