BC, about 1900: “Doctor Tom’s” song: Now with musical notation!

I previously shared the lyrics and the background to “Doctor Tom’s” medicine-man (“doctoring”) song.

That is, lyrics in imitation of what a member of a different tribe (Nál̓əkʷ ‘Clark’s nutcracker’ was Nɬeʔképmx) recalled of this Nuuchahnulth man’s curing practices.

Now, while scouring my research library for items I’d rather get rid of, I’ve come to realize that I have the written music for this Chinuk Wawa piece as well:

This is preserved on pages 275-276 of “Songs of the Nootka Indians of Western Vancouver Island” by Helen H. Roberts and Morris Swadesh, “based on phonographic records and other field notes made by Edward Sapir” — although Doctor Tom’s song was audio-recorded and written down by James A. Teit. (Transactions of the American Philosophical Society, New Series, Volume 45, Part 3, 1955.)
