Quigli Drive, Williams Lake, BC
It’s worth a moment of our time to acknowledge that the Williams Lake First Nation offices (in British Columbia) are located on Quigli Drive.
That quigli is (Cariboo) BC English for what’s also been spelled keekwillie, kickwilly, quiggly, or kekuli.

It’s a shortening of Northern Chinook Jargon kíkwəli-hàws, a traditional “pit house”.
I suspect Quigli Drive is a pretty new road, so this may demonstrate how the Chinook phrase has stayed alive in local speech.
(I doubt anyone up there speaks much Chinuk Wawa anymore, though!)
