Further seeds of tatís ‘flower’
Just putting this out there. The Chinook Jargon word, known only from Grand Ronde Reservation community in northwestern Oregon, tatís, means ‘flower’ and in an Indigenous metaphor, also ‘pretty thing’ as well as ‘pretty’.

The 2012 Grand Ronde Tribes dictionary points out a Tillamook Salish word of very similar form as a possible etymology: da(ʔ)dís, a Diminutive of dis ‘flower’. I don’t dispute that view.
I want to add that the Umatilla Sahaptin language over in northeastern Oregon has a similar word, too: latít ~ latíš ‘flower, blossom’ (Noun).
