Annual Reunion of Oregon Pioneers

The 44th annual re-union of the Oregon Pioneer association will be held in Portland, Thursday, June 22, in the Masonic Temple.

All persons coming to or born in the original territory of Oregon up to 1839, without regard to where they live at present, are eligible to membership. All who came to any part of the Pacific coast up to 1859, now living in Oregon may become members.

The pioneer headquarters will be established at the Oregon Historical society rooms in the Tourny building, Portland, and beginning Saturday, June 17, badges may be secured of the secretary, George H. Himes.

There will be a “Hi-Yu Muck-A-Muck” time in the armory at Portland at 4:30 o’clock by the organized Woman’s Auxiliary to the Oregon Pioneer association. The annual business meeting will be held in the evening at the Masonic Temple.

The annual “Camp Fire” will begin at 8 o’clock in the evening over which past president T.T. Geer will preside. Five minute talks will be allowed pioneers, old time melodies will be sung, Chinook songs will bring back the Indian days, besides the old time dancing.

The annual meeting of the Indian War veterans will be held the day before the pioneers’ reunion. Chas. B. Moores is president of the Oregon Pioneer association, and George H. Himes, secretary.
