December 5, 2018: Interesting note on some words from CJ coming into Nuxalk – they didn’t always have the same stress, or variants were common.
sawas, siwa. [For sáwásh, ‘Native (person)’.]
My favourite today is two variants on sack – lisaak, liisak – with something like stress in each case on the long syllable. [For lísák.]
